Presentation Description:


The presentation will mostly focus on BBM‘s development of electric extrusion blow molding machines. It’ll provide a better insight on the development of electrical drive systems for higher clamp tonnages and address topics such as challenges, opportunities, learnings and limitations of electric machines.

 

It will also deal with statements such as "Electric machines are only suitable for bottles!“, "Electric machines are more expensive than hydraulic machines!," "Our operators can repair hydraulic machines but not electric machines!“ and shed some light onto the myth or reality of modern blow molding with electric machines today!


Speaker Biography:

Sebastian Walter joined BBM Germany in 2013 as a business development manager for the Middle East, Africa, and France. In 2017, he became a partner in BBM Germany and a member of their management team where he is presently spearheading the expansion of BBM into Northern America and strategic Key Account management.

 

From 2008-2012, Mr. Walter lived and worked in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah) and United Arab Emirates (Dubai) as Regional Sales Manager for rigid plastic processing equipment with the main focus on extrusion blow molding of consumer and industrial packaging.

 

In 2007, Mr. Walter has completed studies of Business Administration (BSc) in Hamburg, Germany, at the Hamburg School of Business Administration as well as an apprenticeship in foreign trade.
