Speaker Biography:

Since 2019 James has been the Business Development Manager for HDPE in CanUSA & EMEAf for ExxonMobil. His main activity is engagement with brand owners, converters and key industry decision makers to further develop the HDPE portfolio manufactured by ExxonMobil. 

 

James received a 1st class honours degree from Bristol University in 1992 and was awarded his post doctorate qualification & DIC by Imperial College, University of London in 1995. He is a Chartered Chemist of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

 

After an academic career as a synthetic bio-organometallic chemist, James joined Shell's polypropylene company, Montell in 1999. Through successor companies, he held various polypropylene & polyethylene technical, commercial and business development roles in both Europe and the US

 

In 2012 he left LyondellBasell to join Borealis, ultimately becoming head of their Healthcare Marketing team, before joining Albis in 2017 to create and lead their Global Healthcare Business Development team. 

 

He is based in Houston, Texas and is still playing (reasonably) competitive rugby at an advanced age.
