Identifying Value in the World of Plastics

As more and more is placed on our plate, our time becomes more and more valuable. It is easy to dismiss things which do not appear to provide immediate value into our careers and lives. At times though, it is important to readjust our lenses perceiving value as it may show up in the most unexpected places. This presentation will will review value, and more importantly, where to find it and create value amongst those we interact, especially newcomers into our industry.
Speaker Biography:
Jason Lyons is currently the Business Manager of Arkema’s Kepstan®PEKK product line. Prior to accepting this role, he was an R&D Manager for Arkema’s Plastic Additives group working on the optimization of impact modifiers and process aids for various resin systems. His areas of expertise include: high temperature polymers, thermoplastic composites, polymer processing, impact modifier and process aid design, impact modification theory and polymer mechanics. Jason received his B.S.E in Textile Engineering from Jefferson University and his Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from Drexel University. To date, Jason has over 40 publications and presentations with 5 issued patents and several others pending.
