This presentation will include a discussion of:
- resins for injection blow
- co-ex capabilities
- different screws available
- application container min and max sizes
- machine fundamentals and functions
a. injection system (inject profile / pack and hold / suck back)
b. injection nozzles and gates
c. manifold distribution design and limitation
d. manifold heading vs. hot runner system
e. perform mold (nozzle sizes / adjustment to the extruder nozzle / heating or cooling
mold zones
f. trigger bar function and operation
g. core rod (design to the perform cavity for proper weight and wall thickness distribution /
core rod top and bottom blow when are they used / core rod opening gap function /
core rod tip cooling when used / when is a cooled or heated core rod required)
h. calculation for perform mold pressure (tonnage required)
i. blow mold function (min and max blow out ratio / different cooling zones / base cup
spring loaded function)
j. stripper bar and function

Speaker Biography:
Mr. Invernizzi’s career in the plastic industry began in 1989 at Uniloy in the machines assembly area. He later moved to the service department where he spent the next several years traveling all over the world to start up and service blow molding equipment.
In 2001, he transitioned to the Sales Department as an Injection Blow Product Specialist eventually becoming a Global Product Manager & Area Sales Manager for US and China. In the recent past, he was also employed as an Operations Director with ALPLA Italy. Mr. Invernizzi’s current position is Global IBM Product Manager at Meccanoplastica Group Italy
He holds a degree in electronics from Costanza Institute in Milan, Italy.
