Presentation Description:
The plastic industry is being challenged as never before to restrict or, in some cases,
ban use of plastic in many packaging solutions today. Blow moulded products are
clearly in the sights of regulators and consumers. The plastic industry supply chain is
addressing these challenges, but solutions require not just new regulations, but
consumer education, new technologies, and new manufacturing techniques. Also,
changes in plastic product manufacturing demand new improved equipment to meet
changing workforce demographics to meet industry challenges. I am confident the
Industry will creatively meet these challenges aggressively.
Speaker Biography:
Gary W. Riley, Sr., has served as CEO of Uniloy since June 2022. He servies on the board of directors of Uniloy after joining them in November 2019.
Through the Riley family office, Mr. Riley is the Chairman of the Board and Principal Owner of Decatur Plastic Products, INC and Ningbo Global, LLC – International suppliers to the automotive industry, specializing in interiors, injection molding, mold tooling and automation; plus, motor components and power train components. These companies serve global Tier 1 suppliers to international automotive OEM’s, through three plants in the USA (North Vernon, Indiana), one in Puebla, Mexico, and one in Ningbo, PRC.
Previously, Mr. Riley served as the CEO of several private equity owned international businesses operating in the USA, Europe, China, Malaysia, Thailand and Korea, with headcounts ranging from 1,500 to 14,000. Mr. Riley has been successful at leading global companies that achieved improved operational results and greater shareholder value. He combines a strong finance and technical operations background with deep global and Asian experience in turnarounds and China JV management, as well as M&A, integration, and start-up situations. He has formed or led more than 20 Chinese JV’s, many with SOE partners.
Mr. Riley also serves as an Executive Advisor to Cyprium Partners and is on the board of Directors of Weaber, Inc., a provider of hardwood lumber products.
