- Sustainability and the Use of PCR Material in HDPE Extrusion
This project was constructed to better understand the recyclability of HDPE in extrusion blow molded bottles.
Two different studies will be completed, a multiple pass study on the virgin HDPE which will be completed after the presentation, and a study comparing three different grades of PCR being mixed at 25/75, 50/50, and 75/25% with the virgin HDPE.
The presentation will describe any correlations between mechanical and material tests for when the bottle properties are no longer sufficient.
