Co-presenting with Chris LInd of Barrier Plastics, this presentation will include the types of barriers used in rigid plastic containers and introduce KORTAX BR as the superior mono-layer additive alternative.
Speaker Biography:
Kevin Callahan is one of the founders and COO of both Barrier Plastics, Inc. and BP Polymers, LLC. He founded both companies in 2008 and in his role as COO, created the Baritainer®, manufactured by Barrier Plastics, and developed Quoral® and Kortrax® barrier resins, manufactured by BP Polymers.
Prior to founding both companies, Kevin worked as a senior executive in Sears Home Services responsible for the Sears Parts Division, Sears Warranty Services and the Sears Heating and Cooling Business Unit. Prior to Sears, Kevin had roles of increasing responsibility at WESCO, Honeywell (formerly AlliedSignal), and Grainger.
He earned a M.A. and Ph.D. (Abd) from Fordham University. Prior to attending Fordham, Kevin served 5 years in the USCG as a Search and Rescue Paramedic/Corpsman. Kevin currently resides in Charlottesville and enjoys spending time with his family exploring the fascinating history and beautiful geography of VA.
