Mr. Sattel has over 40 years of experience working for BASF / Basell / LyondellBasell as an Application and Technical Service Engineer, supporting customers in the field of Industrial packaging and Automotive. He has served as Managing Consultant for AST Kunststoffverarbeitung since 2023.

Presentation Description:

More and more companies are implementing sustainability strategies and defining goals for energy savings and reducing their carbon footprint. This lecture will show what possibilities there are to achieve these goals economically but also what efforts are required – from the perspective of a leading industrial packaging manufacturer. The presentation will showcase various sustainability approaches such as mechanical recycling, chemical recycling, the use of non-fossil based materials, and the re-use approach. The presentation will focus, among other things, on the production/use of high-quality PCRs which are also suitable for use in UN-approved industrial packaging.
