Presentation Description:
The "New Product Development: Concept to Reality" Capstone project immersed University of Massachusetts Lowell undergraduate students in the process of bringing a blow molded product to life. Under the guidance of the Education Committee and their advisor, Dr. Anne Soucy, the students justified decisions regarding critical properties, processing method, and material grade for rigid bottle packaging for a nutritional dry powder. An optimized process was established and validated with standard industry testing, and the costs of all necessary components to bring the product to the market were accounted for.
