Presentation Description:
This presentation will explain the 101 process of reciprocating extrusion blow molding machines and will include: description of materials, markets, machine components, machine functions, and bottle features.
Also included will be a discussion of:
- The cycle process
- Major options and functions of major reciprocating screw machines
- Bottle options and neck finishes
Speaker Biography:
Nick Rocheleau represents the fourth generation of leadership at Rocheleau. He began his career with the company after earning a B.S. in Industrial Technology with a concentration in Automated Manufacturing from Fitchburg State University in 2011. Starting in the Assembly department, Nick also performed on-site field service and training before joining the engineering team in 2013. Since then, he has played a key role in the design, manufacturing, and processing of numerous projects and new equipment models now offered by Rocheleau.
Nick currently serves as Director of Engineering and recently earned a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from UMass Lowell. He is an active member of the plastics industry, serving on the Board of Directors for the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Blow Molding Division since 2020, where he currently holds the position of Secretary. He also serves on the Plastics Advisory Board for UMass Lowell, contributing to industry-academic collaboration and program development.
Outside of work, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley, and their three children—Everett, Eli, and Sunday. A passionate basketball player, he also stays involved in his children’s local sports teams.
