This 101 session will give an overview of part and mold design fundamentals for Industrial Blow Molded parts. This session will be a good overview for anyone interested in learning about design and mold considerations for blow molding industrial parts. Industrial parts can include items such as industrial packaging, automotive, lawn and garden and powersports equipment.
Speaker Biography:
Andrew Hobson is a blow molding expert who has worked in the plastics industry for over 30 years. He studied plastics technology and business administration at Ferris State University and Wartburg College. Andrew has an extensive background in blow mold tooling having worked in various sales and technical roles at Hobson Mould Works, Preferred Tooling, and Hawkeye Preferred Tooling Group. He has also served as consultant specializing in blow molding and sales. Andrew was at PetAll Manufacturing as the USA Technical Manager and worked as a sales resource focusing on the Accumulator Head Blow Molding Machine market. Andrew also served as Sales Manager-Industrial Packaging, Automotive, and Specialties at Kautex Machines, Inc. Andy lives in Iowa with his wife, Angela, and their three college aged children.
