Automation and sustainability revolutions are underway in the plastics industry, with inspection playing a major role as an “enabler”. The presenter will review some of the latest vision technology advancements in the market including the expanding use of Artificial Intelligence, breathtaking speed capabilities, improved connectivity, and closed-loop controls.
Speaker Biography:
Scott Heins is the Director of Sales & Marketing for INTRAVIS Inc., located in Norcross GA. INTRAVIS is a global market leader in the manufacture of vision systems to inspect Plastic Packages.
After obtaining a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, he
spent 20+ years within the Blow Molding industry as a Sales Engineer, Sales Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing, and Global Category Manager for the leading supplier of leak testing machines for blow molded bottles.
Scott started with INTRAVIS Inc. in 2016 as a Sales Manager, then became head of sales in 2017, moving from Milwaukee WI to Atlanta GA.
Scott is enjoying the fast-moving vision market and the opportunity to apply technical solutions to inspect Plastic Bottles as well as Preforms, Closures, and Decorations. Vision technology can now enable customers to “solve problems before they occur” and is a vital component of the “smart factory” of today and the future.
