This presentation will include:
- A history of accumulator heads
- Reasons behind using accumulator head machines other technologies
- An overview of different head designs and advantages of one the other
Accumulator head technology has been the mainstay of the U.S. industrial blow molding for many years. The technology has some advantages in large-part blow molding and for processing a variety of plastics that cannot be utilized in blow molding any other way. This presentation will cover the advantages and disadvantages of accumulator head blow molding, including the different variety of heads available today.
Speaker Biography:
Andrew Hobson is a blow molding expert who has worked in the plastics industry for over 29 years. He studied plastics technology and business administration at Ferris State University and Wartburg College. Andrew has an extensive background in blow mold tooling having worked in various sales and technical roles at Hobson Mould Works, Preferred Tooling, and Hawkeye Preferred Tooling Group. He has also done consulting work specializing in blow molding and sales.
Andrew joined Pet All in 2018 as the USA Technical Manager and works as a sales resource focusing on the Accumulator Head Blow Molding Machine market. Andy is presently a regional sales manager at Kautex Machines, Inc. and lives in Iowa with his wife, Angela, and their three teenage children.
