Presentation Description:


This session will provide an overview of the physical properties of polyethylene and their effects on blow molding processes. Polymer testing methods will be reviewed with an emphasis on their importance in blow molding processes and products. The audience should gain basic knowledge of polyethylene and its production as well as the variables the industry employs to achieve the processing characteristics and physical properties needed for blow molding success.

Speaker Biography:

Justin Lumbley is a Technical Service and Application Development Engineer at Chevron Phillips Chemical. In this role, he is responsible for technical service and developmental efforts in polyethylene blow molding market segments such as pharmaceutical, industrial, food and beverage, household industrial chemicals, and recreational. Justin joined CPChem in 2010. He received a B.S. in Plastic Engineering Technology from Pittsburg State University in 2008. He holds 1 granted U.S. patent.
