Highest Efficiency and Resource Savings in Extrusion Blow Molding

Session 3 - Plastics 101s

Monday, October 23, 2023

2:00 p.m. to 2:55 p.m.

(see full conference schedule)

Presentation Description:

It all starts with optimized design of the container, how to combine end-user’s ideas with best performance in blow molding. At the same time save raw-material and improve the container properties. Higher process stability, means less trouble in production and higher efficiency in the work shop. How a smart tool design can help to improve production efficiency. Is lowest cooling water temperature really a guarantee for more output? What are the important factors to get more output and at the same time to save energy? The estimative target is to reduce the total production cost and increase the profitability in extrusion blow molding

Speaker Biographies:

Jean Ingenbrand:

Born in Germany with French roots, Jean Ingenbrand started his professional training in 1995 in plastic and fittings technology and finished it successfully. Jean attended an alternative form of national service (instead of military service) and during this time he also worked as a sales assistant for Nokia H.J.Frank.

When Jean finished this service with the ASB, he decided to focus on sales and completed additional training and education to become a state-certified technician in plastics and rubber technology.

Jean's interest in plastics led him to Friedrich H. Weischede Formenbau GmbH in 2008 where he took over the company at the age of 30. Without a management background, Jean reorganized the company and renamed “fhw-moulds where he is the managing director of 60 employees.

Jean is characterized by his reliability and affinity for creating, shaping, and contributing to things. With his passion for perfection and the plastics industry, he is continually driven by new developments in EBM using intelligent technologies such as fhw’s sensor technology.
