When compared to pelletized concentrate, liquid color cuts your color costs in half and decreases your color change time. This session will look at how using liquid color in plastics can improve your sustainability for plastics. We will focus on how liquid color saves you money with lower energy usage, reduced cycle times, less waste, and more. We will also discuss how you can achieve your sustainability goals using our new line of additives, including increasing PCR content in your finished product.
This presentation will include a discussion of:
- Reduce color usage while achieving full color development with less pigment.
- Improve sustainability: reduce your transportation costs, energy usage and send zero to landfill, eliminate industrial waste.
- Increase the use of PCR content in your finished product.
Speaker Biography:
Paul Maguire brings his years of family and individual entrepreneurial, business experience as CEO and President of Riverdale Global.
Paul began his career at fifteen years old as an extruder operator in a plastics facility. Working for Maguire Products, Inc. (his father’s company), he helped develop plastics material dosing equipment and process software. In 1991, Paul pioneered the development of communication networks for plastics equipment, and currently holds several patents to monitor, control, and document in real-time all material consumption in a plastic processing facility.
Paul established Green Bridge Station Technologies (GBS) in 1995, which specialized in custom computer software, website development, and network design. He also developed unique custom software for the Lottery industry which picks the winning numbers and buuilds animations for broadcast. This lottery software is currently used by the majority of state lotteries in the U.S. and national lotteries around the world.
In 2006, Paul began working with Riverdale with a focus on creating new technologies to manufacture and process liquid color in a sustainable and economical way.
Paul has Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Albright College, and received a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
