Division Officers Positions

positions that make up the officers positions!
DIVISION CHAIRPERSON
The Chairperson of the Division presides at all meetings of the Board
of Directors, Executive Committee, and the Division membership. He appoints
all Committee Chairpersons and delegates the responsibility for every
Division operation, and is responsible for performance .
DIVISION CHAIRPERSON ELECT
The Chairperson elect shall assume the office of Chairperson in case of
vacancy from any cause in that office and shall assume the duties of the
Chairperson during his absence or disability.
The Chairperson elect shall perform such duties as Chairperson or the
Board may delegate. The Chairperson elect shall succeed the Chairperson
at the expiration of the Chairperson's term.
DIVISION SECRETARY
Responsibilities of the Secretary are to:
a. Maintain and issue all Division records, except those of the Treasurer,
including minutes of the Board, Executive Committee and Division membership
meetings, Officer List and Calendar.
b. Maintain the roster of all Officers, committees, and delegates.
c. Maintain and update all Division Bylaws, rules and procedures.
d. Conduct and maintain a record of all correspondence necessary to accomplish
these tasks.

Examples include descriptions of standing committees not covered in the
Manual, and operating rules for other Division activities not covered
in the Manual.
furnish the Chairperson and Secretary with Manual revisions. It is the
Secretary's responsibility to supply these revisions to Division officials
who have manuals.
DIVISION TREASURER
The Treasurer is responsible for gathering, disbursing, and managing the
Division's funds, and should be prepared at all times to submit a complete
and accurate statement showing the current
financial status of the Division.
DIVISION PAST CHAIRPERSON
The office of Past Chairperson is assumed by retiring Division Chairperson
and is a non-elective office. The Past Chairperson is a voting member
of the Board and may not hold the office of Treasurer, Secretary or Councilor.
The Past Chairperson may not hold the office of Chairperson- elect of
the Division.
The Past Chairperson serves on the Executive Committee and is responsible
for long range planning for the Division. He/she may serve on other committee
meetings as an ex-officio member.
The Past Chairperson may receive other assignments from the Chairperson.
The Past Chairperson is also a member of the Carrie Fox Solin Scholarship
Selection Committee.
SPE COUNCILOR
The S.P.E. Councilor is elected by the members of the Division for a term
of three years. The election procedure shall be in accordance with the
S.P.E. By-laws and included with the annual election ballot as required.
The newly elected Councilor assumes the duties office at the Annual Business
Meeting of the Society at ANTEC. A Councilor who has served two (2) elected
terms (6
years) is not eligible for re-election to this office for a period of
three (3) years.
